Tecside Groups CEO Shayne Pollack recently sat down to share Tecside Groups 2020 experiences with HR Publications – Shortlist. The below is a partial excerpt of the full interview.
Recruitment roles restructured for faster service
A multi-sector recruitment business is working on a major restructure of its internal teams and roles in light of the pandemic’s impact on staﬃng demand.
Tecside Group has spent recent months reviewing its practices, and “we are working on diﬀerent structures internally to enable us to have a speed-to-market advantage over our competitors, [and to] ensure we have the capability to resource quality candidates quicker and more eﬀectively”, CEO Shayne Pollack tells Shortlist.
“One of those is an internal resourcing or project team, to alleviate some of the front-end pressures that our talent specialists face. There is a lot of work in this particular market in terms of screening, sourcing, reference checking, testing, booking medicals, and then mobilising.”
A sourcing team would alleviate pressures on the talent team and enable them to “be more focused on the candidate and on clients, and make sure we match those two pieces up eﬀectively”, Pollack says.
Since October, when employees’ hours returned to pre-COVID levels, “we are starting to see new staﬀ coming into the business – we have added ﬁve-to-six additional resourcers over the past four weeks”, he says.
